ESG MANAGER

Reporting to our CFO, you will lead and drive the integration of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles into all aspects of the company's operations and decision-making processes. This involves championing sustainability, ensuring compliance with environmental standards, promoting social responsibility, and upholding strong governance practices to enhance the company's long-term value and contribute to sustainable development.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Developing and integrating ESG strategies into the company's broader business objectives. This involves aligning ESG initiatives with the company's mission, vision, and goals to ensure they contribute to sustainable growth.
- Ensuring that the company complies with relevant environmental, social, and governance regulations, which involves identifying and assessing ESG-related risks and opportunities and develops strategies to manage these effectively.
- Engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, including employees, customers, investors, community members, and regulatory bodies. This involves communicating the company's ESG initiatives, listening to stakeholder concerns, and incorporating their feedback into ESG strategies.
- Leading the preparation of ESG reports and disclosures that provide transparent information about the company's ESG performance. This includes collecting data, analysing ESG metrics, and ensuring that the company's sustainability efforts are accurately reflected in these reports.
- Monitoring the company's ESG performance against set goals and industry benchmarks. This involves identifying areas for improvement and leads initiatives to enhance the company's ESG performance.
- Raising awareness and training employees at all levels of the organization about the importance of ESG issues. This includes developing training programs and initiatives to embed ESG principles into the company culture.
- Staying informed about emerging ESG trends, innovations, and best practices, exploring new ways to enhance the company's sustainability efforts and implements best practices to improve ESG performance.
- Leading ESG-related projects and initiatives, coordinating with various departments and teams to ensure successful implementation and alignment with overall business objectives.
REQUIREMENTS
Educational background:
Graduate with master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, or a related field
Additional education/skills:
Strong EGS knowledge, mainly but not only, related to the following topics:
· Regulatory requirement compliance, namely CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive): · · Preparation of CSRD report and creation of internal procedures to obtain the metrics needed on an automatized way.
· Decarbonization plan: lead and develop a decarbonization plan for the Group, and ensure that annual/interim targets are achieved.
· GHG Emission: annual refreshment of GHG emission footprint and external audit.
· Sustainability data: coordinate and improve overall sustainability data, collection procedures, and data quality pragmatically.
· Excellent stakeholder management skills: external stakeholders include, but are not limited to clients, operational suppliers, credit entities, public entities, and shareholders.
· Operationalization within the Group: Coordinate the different business units and factories located in the US, France, and Spain.
· Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills.
· Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
· Demonstrated leadership and project management experience.
· Commitment to ethical standards and promoting a culture of sustainability and responsibility.
PC Literacy: Office (intermediate)
Languages: Spanish (Native) / English (Fluent) / French (Desirable)
Experience: 5 years of proven experience at a Corporate ESG Department or ESG Consultancy, sustainability, or a related role, preferably in the industrial or manufacturing sector.
Travel to factories is often required.
